Heavy Duty Downrigger Snubber Combo

Built for deep-water West Coast trolling, the WCFT Heavy Duty Downrigger Snubber Combo is engineered to handle the increased loads created by heavier cannonballs and extreme fishing depths.

Constructed with a High-Visibility Yellow Heavy Duty Silicone Snubber, approximately double the diameter of conventional snubbers, and paired with premium American-Made Ashaway 300 lb Blue Tuna Cord for exceptional strength and durability.

As West Coast anglers increasingly target salmon at depths of 350 ft and beyond, heavier 18–20 lb cannonballs place significantly greater load and drag on downrigger connections. This system was purpose-built for these demanding conditions, providing a strong, dependable connection between your downrigger and cannonball.

Features

Heavy Duty Hi-Vis Yellow Silicone Snubber – approximately double the diameter of conventional snubbers
American-Made Ashaway 300 lb Blue Tuna Cord
Stainless Steel Locking Snap & 6/0 Barrel Swivel
Heat-Shrink-Protected Connections for increased durability
Sampo Clasp Connection for quick snubber and cannonball attachment or removal
Clear Silicone Tubing protects the cord and provides positioning for release clips
Designed for heavy 18–20 lb cannonballs and extreme-depth trolling
Purpose-built for demanding West Coast salmon fishing

Custom Bright Yellow Heavy Duty Downrigger Snubber

This Heavy Duty Snubber is constructed of strong silicone rope, double the diameter of conventional snubbers in the market and quality heavy duty connecting hardware. This product was developed specifically for the west coast fisherman in mind. Warmer water temperatures have forced anglers to target fish at deeper and deeper depths. In some areas anglers are dropping their cannonballs south of 350ft. Increasing depth, means increasing the weight of the balls, and the shear drag on the snubber and connecting hardware. Larger boats typically fish 18-20lb balls. This snubber is specially designed to work in these conditions giving anglers piece of mind they won't be loosing their expensive lead cannonballs.

Product Overview:

Hi Vis Yellow Silicone - Double the Diameter of the conventional snubber
Stainless Steel Locking snap and 6/0 barrel swivel
12" long, connects to conventional Tuna Cord set ups

Superior Spools – 316 Stainless Base Plate for Scotty Downriggers
Invented by a Marine Mechanic & Machinist. Built to Last. Made in Canada.

Upgrade your Scotty Downrigger with Superior Spools – the ultimate solution to weak, failure-prone spool bottoms. Designed and precision-machined in Canada by a seasoned marine mechanic and machinist, this innovative base plate replaces the factory plastic spool bottom with a solid 316 stainless steel foundation for unmatched durability and reliability.

Why Superior Spools?

Tired of spool warping, cracking, or corroding after a few seasons? Superior Spools are engineered to eliminate heat distortion, UV degradation, and saltwater corrosion, giving you a worry-free and long-lasting spool solution that stands up to the harshest marine conditions.

Unlike other aftermarket spools made of aluminum, Superior Spools use 316 stainless steel – the same material used in Scotty brake pads. This eliminates galvanic corrosion and metal-on-metal compatibility issues that plague aluminum and stainless contact points.

Features:

Sold in Pairs – Includes two stainless steel base plates
Includes Hardware – Comes with 8 stainless steel bolts and installation instructions
Easy Install – Installs in minutes using basic hand tools
Marine-Grade 316 Stainless Steel – Corrosion-proof and built for saltwater environments
No Mixed Metals – Prevents pitting, seizing, and galvanic corrosion
Precision Machined in Canada – Designed by a marine mechanic who knows what works
Drop-In Fit – Seamlessly integrates with Scotty downrigger spools
No More Warping or Cracking – Handles heat and pressure without failure

Revolutionize Your Downrigger

Whether you're a weekend warrior or a full-time guide, Superior Spools deliver rock-solid performance you can trust. Install once, fish forever.
