WCFT PRO STAFF

WESTCOAST FISHING TACKLE is proud to support it's PRO STAFF who consist of certified Fishing Guides/Charters, Avid Fisherman, and Television Celebrities all throughout British Columbia and Western USA.  Our goal in selecting representatives of our brand, is to have anglers who are passionate about the sport, have a voice to speak about our fishery, and share the culture of inclusion to all.

The recruitment process for Pro Staff is based annually as contracts are renewed on a performance basis every year.  We select Pro Staff based on geographic locations, trying to cover all key fishing areas, allowing them to showcase products and at the same time speak to their fishing conditions in their designated area.  Only 1 representative will be selected per region.

All candidates are required to fill out an application that meet our qualifications and then followed up with an interview.  Please email: jeff@westcoastfishingtackle.ca to receive the application and information package.  We thank all candidates for submitting their applications in advance, but only those who are qualified will be contacted for an interview.

An annual retreat is held at the end of the year where we gather all our Pro Staff and Ambassadors together to recap the season, have guest speakers and seminars, and showcase our new line of tackle for the following year.

We have a very tight group of individuals, a family feel, and a group of amazing anglers to represent our brand!

Jason joins the WCFT CREW as Director of Product Development.  Based in Vancouver, Jason works tirelessly reviewing the latest products and focuses on research and development designing and producing new product lines.  He is out often testing products for durability and effectiveness.

Capt Travis Nesimiuk - Saltwater Fishing Guide/Owner

Travis began fishing freshwater in lakes and rivers then moved on to pursue his quest for bigger fish in the Sea of Cortez where he chased Marlin, Tuna and other Pelagics.  Finally settling in the West Coast with a career as a Saltwater Fishing Guide.  Currently guiding on a Weldcraft 280 Cuddy King out of Prince Rupert.  Follow Travis this summer as he posts some tackle reviews and some videos of our tackle in action!

Darian is one of the most genuine guys you'll meet and customers share in his enthusiasm for the job!  He cheers them all on like it's their first fish!  Growing up on the Island, Darian always wanted to be a fishing guide and as soon as he graduated, he hit the high seas and hasn't looked back.  Darian's boat is set up with 3 gopros and he plans on making some action packed reels with all his experiences this summer!  Stay tuned and follow him!

Born in the praries, but moved to the coast in 2016 and the salt is now firmly in his blood, Jeff Easingwood is the owner and operator of Clearly Coastal Charters.  Jeff has made the transition from freshwater to saltwater fishing with the move and you can find him out on the water guiding on his hewescraft or fishing off his seadoo out of Prince Rueprt!  After getting introduced to westcoast fishing tackle rods by a friend, Jeff quickly knew he needed to get more gear from WCFT and bought his own rods! JIM RAMOS Aka: SAMMY HOOKER  - Washington State, USA
Jim "Sammy Hooker" Ramos is the owner of the novelty online fishing company, Saltwater Pimp Co. Sammy lives in Mt. Vernon. Washington with his wife, teenage son and two aussie shepherds. He has been fishing the Salish Sea and Pacific coastal waters of Oregon, Washington and Vancouver Island for the past 30 years. He loves fishing competitively in the saltwater derbies of the PNW in his custom 1981 SeaRay, the Salty Madame. 
Sammy also loves to fish in many destinations around the globe where he will certainly be trying every bit of WCFT in many different oceans. While his passion for fishing keeps him busy, Sammy wants everyone to know he is always open and willing to share his knowledge.
