WCFT PRO STAFF
WESTCOAST FISHING TACKLE is proud to support it's PRO STAFF who consist of certified Fishing Guides/Charters, Avid Fisherman, and Television Celebrities all throughout British Columbia and Western USA. Our goal in selecting representatives of our brand, is to have anglers who are passionate about the sport, have a voice to speak about our fishery, and share the culture of inclusion to all.
The recruitment process for Pro Staff is based annually as contracts are renewed on a performance basis every year. We select Pro Staff based on geographic locations, trying to cover all key fishing areas, allowing them to showcase products and at the same time speak to their fishing conditions in their designated area. Only 1 representative will be selected per region.

All candidates are required to fill out an application that meet our qualifications and then followed up with an interview. We thank all candidates for submitting their applications in advance, but only those who are qualified will be contacted for an interview.
An annual retreat is held at the end of the year where we gather all our Pro Staff and Ambassadors together to recap the season, have guest speakers and seminars, and showcase our new line of tackle for the following year.
We have a very tight group of individuals, a family feel, and a group of amazing anglers to represent our brand!

We are super excited to welcome Mark Pendlington to join our PRO STAFF! With 30 years television filming experience fishing on the West Coast, Mark brings with him a wealth of experience. James joins the WCFT CREW as our Director of Sales. Based on Vancouver Island, James leads the charge educating retailers all about our locally designed and sourced products. Having been in the industry for over 19 years, James is also a professional fishing guide, and owns his own fishing charter company @fisherislandadventures.

Jason Mok - Director of Product Development
Jason joins the WCFT CREW as Director of Product Development. Based in Vancouver, Jason works tirelessly reviewing the latest products and focuses on research and development designing and producing new product lines. He is out often testing products for durability and effectiveness.

Harry Rihela - Sales Manager
Harry joins the WCFT CREW as Sales Manager. Based in Vancouver, Harry is responsible for visiting retailers in the lower mainland and the interior. Being retired, Harry has lots of time to fish and enjoys spending time in Bamfield fishing the West Coast as well our local waters.

Born and raised mostly on Vancouver Island, I have lived and fished on both the West and East coast of Canada. I started fishing at such a young age I can only remember it through stories my dad's told me. We would jig off Pender bluffs for Lings and Salmon out of our 14' K&C close to home in the early 90s before downrigging was really a thing and on the East Coast for Mackerel, Cod and Mako.
As time went on I discovered all the different types and styles of fishing at our fingertips here in BC, from month-long trips solo on the mighty Thompson River in search of the coveted Thompson Steelhead, to cut-plugging for trophy Chinook on the North Coast near Alaska and everything in between - avidly. I've developed my entire life to revolve around the great outdoors, fishing and life by the sea. I am an avid hunter and conservation advocate and I reside in the Salmon Capital of the World, Campbell River, where the ocean and adventure is a stone's throw away. I have my own thriving charter business "Go fishing with Sam" fishing aboard my lavishly outfitted Grady White 282 Sailfish. The 2024 season will be my 18th consecutive season guiding on the salt-chuck, my first as an independent and I couldn't be more excited for the adventure and to be a part of such a fun, motivated and genuine group of individuals on the West Coast Fishing Tackle team and also to continue growing our amazing community of Anglers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Jonathan (Jon) grew up on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. His love for the ocean started at a very young age. He spent many hours on the beach in front of the family home checking out crabs and other marine life. Naturally when Jon was introduced to fishing it became a lifelong hobby and passion for him.
Today Jon is a co-owner of Rugged Westcoast Sport Fishing out of Deep Bay. He is also the lead in a nonprofit salmon enhancement group called “Salmon Are Life” formally known as Fish Army. As Jon not only loves to catch fish but also feels a strong responsibility of giving back to the salmon and community.
